Bringing back the newsletter

It’s been a while!

My last newsletter came on December 3rd, at which point I decided to take a break and consider if I should continue writing it this year and if so, what changes might I make to improve it.

Here’s what will change:

  • The newsletter used to come every Tuesday.

While a fixed schedule helps with building a habit and being consistent, it perhaps sometimes hurts quality.

There were weeks in which I was too busy to get something decent together by Tuesday and I didn’t feel very good about publishing those specific newsletters, but I did anyway because that was my self-imposed rule.

This year, the newsletter will still come weekly, but not necessarily on a Tuesday or on any specific day of the week.

  • Focus: I expect I’ll be a lot more focused on AI this year because there is quite a lot to say about it and it’s a very rapidly evolving topic. In fact, the next newsletter will most definitely be about AI.

I’m both very excited and perhaps a little bit scared by how powerful AI is becoming and how it’s already changed the way in which I do many digital tasks.

  • Additional content: I am considering writing some one-off blog posts on the website, breaktimereflections.com, which will not be published as newsletters but will hopefully add a bit of diversity to the topics covered.

That’s all for now! See you next week and beyond.
